Wayanad - No one can match you - Day 2

June 6, 2010, Sunday :
------------------------
We had no specific plans today.  We already did enough trekking, saw water falls Yesterday. So, We were not interested in other sight seeings Edakkal caves (Do you want to sweat again ?), Meenmutty falls, dams, sanctuaries.
We started to play rugby in the Swimming pool in the hotel.  Madhan and Rajesh from my team got some blows from Shakir (opponent team).  Needless to say, with Peri's support to Shakir, Shakir team won the game by 10 : 6 goals.

Then, We got ready for breakfast, took photos (Some people took photos themselves by putting the camera in timer mode, run, pose for the camera :-).  Real comedy show for on lookers.) in the hotel premises and checked out the hotel by 11 PM.

                                                                Theme song of this trip.
I like this song from the film 'Paiya', (music, lyrics, dance, picturisation to 100 %), and used to hum this song through out the day.  Soon it became theme song of this trip.
Inside hotel premises, captured by Peri.

By 11:30 AM, We left the Hotel and reached the Pookote lake.  We took pedal boating, and The Sun was really hot.

There were Lotus flowers in the lake, and Senthil collected them for photographs.  While getting out of the boat, a park worker enquired him about the flowers, and asked him to pay the fine of Rs. 250 [Rs. 50 per flower.].  In fact, the instruction to not pluck flowers was written everywhere, somehow We missed to see it :-).

Then, We walked around the park nearby.

Then we spent some time in Lakkidi View point, and got down the hill to have lunch, (It was sponsored by me, in the name of my birthday treat.)

Then, we went to Calicut beach by 5 PM. Soccer worldcup fever was seen in Calicut and we saw the supporters of particular teams showed their passion to the game through posters, driving bikes, cars with their team flags !.

Rain again started to drizzle, and we bought Kerala chips and got the return train at 8:30 PM, and bid adieu to Kerala, thankfully for refreshing us.
